Run Happee

Posted on: March 29, 2014

Wow, has it really been 3 months since I’ve posted? What a slacker!

So, I haven’t been doing much running so far this year. I did manage to return to Shamrock (3rd time in a row!) and do the 8k. I can’t say my time was very impressive, but considering I did no training and I walked away injury-free, I did alright!

I have signed up for my half marathon of the year, which will be the Crawlin’ Crab Half Marathon on October 5th. I was going to do the Rock N Roll Half Marathon at the end of August, but I decided a half marathon in 90+ degree weather…no thanks! My goal finishing time for the Crawlin Crab Half Marathon is 3 hrs and 15 min. My last half marathon finishing time was 3:32:03 and that was a year ago. So I’m going for a new goal.

Things with the boyfriend have been going really well. We’ve been together 3 months and it seems like a lot longer. We just fit together so well.

So, I guess I’ll be getting back into training here soon. It’s starting to get warmer so that’s a plus. Hopefully signing up for this race is the motivation I need to get going again.
